MEET THE BREEDER
Hi I'm Steph! I have raised and loved rats since high school and I am currently attending school to become a veterinarian. Even in vet school rats remain a huge part of my life!
I have been breeding rats for a little over 2 years now with a focus on adopting out pets with great health and temperament. I have rats in children's homes, in friend and family's homes, and even as beloved preschool pets!
OUR RATTERY
At Steph's Little Squeakery, all of our rats are treated like family!! The rats live in double critter nations and are fed a complete and balanced diet of Oxbow Regal Rat along with a variety of snacks. Our rats regularly get playtime and enrichment which includes bobbing for peas and dig boxes! All rats go to the vet for any issues like any other small pet! One rat from the colony will also be blood tested annually to ensure that all are disease-free through Charles River Laboratories. The babies born in the rattery are handled daily from birth to better their socialization skills. The babies will get playtime daily along with some yummy snacks to try once they become old enough to nibble. They are given time with the other rats in the rattery to better their ratty social skills as well!
